RESEARCH OF HUNGARIAN SCIENTISTS ON THE HISTORY AND CULTURE OF CENTRAL ASIA AND KAZAKHSTANIANS
Abstract
It is known that since the 19th century, the study of the territory of Central Asia has aroused interest at the world level, especially among Europeans, and has received special attention as an object of research. The 19th century went down in world history as a period when the attention of European politicians, scientists and businessmen was directed to unexplored and inaccessible corners of Asia. The purpose of this article is to determine the extent to which research by European scientists on Central Asia and Kazakhstan is being conducted today. The goal is to show which Magyar scientists continued their research on the study of Central Asia and Kazakhstan after the period of Armin Vambery, to what extent and in what directions. Its goal is to find out which European scientists and in which areas are currently engaged in research in Central Asia and Kazakhstan. The research, based on “living history”, meetings and interviews with the scientists themselves, will analyze the information collected on the basis of the scientific theories underlying the study.
