Abstract

The article analyzes archival sources from the archives of western Kazakhstan. After the war, the question arose of training personnel for industry and agriculture, as well as public education. Vocational schools were opened in the region, the
conditions of universities and technical schools were improved. However, at the same time, there were difficulties such as insufficient staff in the universities and colleges themselves. The damage was caused by the ideology of that time. The life of the higher school was based on theprinciples of “partisanship and classism". In the late 40s and early 50s, political discussions
against the creative intellectuals took place in the country. During the period under review, the
ratio between different forms of education had changed. Much attention was paid to distance
learning and evening education for people employed in production. All higher and most
secondary educational institutions in the region have updated their material and technical base,
as well as new academic buildings, student dormitories, workshops and laboratories were built.
