MEDIEVAL GERMANY IN THE CONCEPT OF THE WORLD HISTORICAL PROCESS BYTHE GERMAN HISTORIAN OSKAR JAEGER

The article discusses the conceptual approaches of the German historian of the XIX century Oskar Jaeger to the history of Medieval Germany. Special attention is paid to the chronology and periodization of the German Middle Ages, as well as the main stages of the development of German statehood in the Middle Ages, including the Merovingian dynasty, the Carolingian Empire, the Saxon dynasty, the Staufen dynasty, as well as the Habsburg dynasty.
The article reflects the special interest of Fr. Jaeger refers to the personalities of outstanding politicians of the German Middle Ages, to their activities in the field of state-building, church and foreign policy.
