 The article analyzes the legal regulation of the transfer of certain state powers to municipalities, identifies problems that arise in this case, including legal regulation of this area. It is stated that there are no clear, uniform, consistent legal approaches, the scope of powers of local authorities is expanding. It has been analyzed and revealed that the practice of transferring the relevant powers indicates the imperfection of the legislation, the lack of mechanisms for the selection of state powers and their transfer to municipalities, which leads to a number of problems and contradictions in this area.
