THE BASICS OF THE ADOPTION PROCEDURE UNDER MUSLIM LAW
Abstract
Annotation: This scientific and legal article examines the issues of Arab law related to the adoption procedure in Muslim states. The author also analyzes the requirements imposed on adoptive parents and highlights the question of whether an adopted child will be able to identify his roots. The article includes a legal assessment of the state created in accordance with the requirements of Sharia law applied in Arab countries.
The main attention is paid to the concept of adoption and the differences between adoption and guardianship in the context of Sharia law. The article also describes in detail the adoption procedure in several Arab countries. When writing the article, materials based on regulations and research conducted in countries including the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar were used.
