In a number of world powers, the Middle East is associated with the problems of exporting religious extremism and terrorism, as well as exporting oil and gas to world markets, while the situation in the region seems to be much more complex and multifaceted. The relevance of the study lies in the similarity of geopolitical processes in different regions of the world, which makes it possible to predict the development of political and economic processes in the context of interstate relations. Historically, a comparative study of the experience of postcolonial development in the Middle East and Central Asian countries that gained independence with the collapse of the Soviet Union is of interest. The author of the publication tried to identify the problems in interstate relations that have historically developed and arisen at the present historical stage, presenting their brief analysis and prospects for the political and economic development of the Middle East.
