Abstract: This paper presents an overview of cloud computing, which is a new computing model that has emerged from various computer technologies such as grid computing, distributed computing, and virtualization. The paper highlights the advantages of cloud computing, including large-scale computation and data storage, virtualization, high expansibility, high reliability, and low-cost services. However, the paper emphasizes that the security problem of cloud computing is a major concern that can hinder its rapid development. Therefore, the paper introduces various cloud computing systems and analyzes the security issues and strategies based on the fundamental concepts and characteristics of cloud computing. In this article, we will give an overview of cloud technologies, computing, highlight their main concepts, architectural principles, modern implementation, as well as research tasks. The purpose of this article is to provide a better understanding of cloud computing design issues and identify important research areas in this important area.
