MODERN ASSESSMENT OF THE APPLICATION OFCOMPLIANCE CONTROL IN THE EUROPEAN UNION COUNTRIES

Abstract

In this article, the authors have made an attempt to assess the current practice of
applying compliance control in the countries of the European Union. The authors analyzed the functions
of the technical committee of The European Institute for Export Compliance, on which the compliance
control system in the European Union is based, while examining the process of the compliance control
system, consisting of 10 stages, used in the countries of the European Union. In conclusion, a reasonable
conclusion is drawn that compliance control applied in the countries of the European Union is a complex,
consistent and multi-stage process, and the compliance control system is an effective tool for assessing
compliance risks and appears to be a tool for prioritizing compliance with legislation.
