USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE LEGISLATIVE PROCESS:ORGANISATIONAL AND LEGAL REVIEW
Abstract
The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has sparked significant interest in their potential application across various sectors, including the legislative process. As governments strive to enhance the efficiency and
effectiveness of lawmaking, AI offers unique opportunities while also presenting serious challenges. Legal regulation issues, unpredictability of consequences, and
impacts on social and economic aspects have become key topics of discussion among
scholars and practitioners.
The article emphasizes that, despite AI’s potential to enhance legislative efficiency, its implementation raises serious concerns related to changes in the traditional role of legislators and potential algorithmic bias. Additionally, the article explores natural
language processing technologies as organizational tools for improving the quality of
legislative texts. In this context, the article highlights the importance of human oversight to ensure legal coherence and address potential risks associated with the use
of AI in the lawmaking process.
