EUROMAIDAN AS A TRIGGER FOR THE FORMATION OF A NEWGEOPOLITICAL REALITY

Abstract

One of the current geopolitical problems is the Ukrainian question, which dates back to 2014. Since then, relations between Moscow and Kiev have become tense and moved from the stage of good neighborliness to the stage of warring parties. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has deep historical roots related to issues of national identity, territorial disputes and geopolitical interests. The radical change in the geopolitical situation in the Eastern European region significantly complicates the
national security situation of all parties to the conflict. The Ukrainian issue reflects the broad strategic interests of world powers and has significant implications for
international politics, security and economic relations.
