HISTORY OF RESEARCH MEDIEVAL CITIES IN THE LOWER CURRENTOF THE SYRDARYA
Abstract
The article examines the archeological excavations of the lower reaches of the Syrdarya in the late medieval cities. During the Middle Ages, the number of cities and settlements increased due to the fact that this region, where the Syr Darya flows into the Aral Sea, is suitable for human habitation. However, due to the historical events that took place in the monuments, their ancient names and geographical location changed. In this regard, scientists are conducting extensive archaeological research to determine the location of historical monuments of the late Middle Ages. Kyshkala is one of the cities where large-scale archeological works are being carried out. The history of the city is found in medieval written sources, the first period of local lore and legends, which are very interesting facts about this city.
